Time to start the family history
It has been a while since we last posted a blog, January in fact. So I thought that it was timely to add what has been going on.
The boys started at their new school this year and so far they are having a great year and we can say that we are so happy with the school we chose. They both have come a long way since joining this school. They have both made a lot of new friends however they are always talking about there now longer distant friends, there have been a few trips up the road for the sleep overs and the parties and I spose the reflection of the time past, but watching when they get together you wouldn't know of the days past in between visits and they just pick up from where they left off last time. They have got some school friends that are local to home and we find that we are a little less strict on where they can play (must be due to the country feel). The path next to our house is a great link around the neighbourhood without the need to cross roads.
Our gardens and lawns have been put in place and although a little sparse in the plant dept we are keeping our options open as well as our eyes because there are some great gardens being put in around our house and we might just have to borrow some of their idea's and put them in place at our place. I think I have mowed the lawn at least 10 times with the same mower that I had previously(time for new one), the size of our lawn now is around 4 times bigger than what we had at Lara. Plenty of room for whatever.
We have filled our house with some new furniture and also with some old stuff that we brought with us. It was only 2 weeks ago that I put some shelving up in the shed to store some our stuff, and what a day that was; let me say 28 mice dead by days end in the shed alone! We are having a bit of a mouse situation here at Eynesbury(not just at our house all neighbours are the same, seems to be the topic when talking over the fence). I will go on record and say that we now have 19 mouse traps in play and we are emptying 2 times per day on average(1 way to keep the mother in law away! only joking Helen). I know we are are keeping the supplier of ratsak in business also, I am considering just putting the boxes out there and then letting them help themselves. During all this we have only had 1 stuart little(mouse) in the house, they infilltrated our fortress by entering in through a fly wire screen, yes they chewed through the screen to get in. We relised that we had left the window open just as we were going to bed and Mel went to shut the window and discovered the intruder. 1 trap and 5 minutes later and he was caught. The only one to get in, we sometimes see them looking through the glass to get in but they can't.
Well the next time we add to the blog we will include photo's of where we were to we we are now, It is amazing the progress that has been made around Eynesbury, if you look at the early photo's of the block and see the whole street is empty of houses , well now there are only a couple of empty blocks in the street or infact stage 2. Progress has been made on stage 7 with people already moving in with around 100 houses being built and stage 3 about to be released within weeks.
